Five Favorite Photos Friday

Hey, I am SO sorry I haven't posted a single on of these since my first one, but here you go! This is round two of this and it's also a throwback to the beginning of my photography days! Enjoy these photos!

This one I took at my neighbors house, and I really love it except I wish the house wasn't in the background, but to get the sunlight shining through right I had to. (Canon ELPH 110 HS)

This one I took just after a rainstorm that happened during the winter time, obviously, and the rain froze, making it a perfect picture worthy moment. (Canon ELPH 110 HS)

This is one of my ALL TIME favorite photos I've taken. The girl is my neighbor Avery, and I love how her hair is moving slightly, and the purple and blue in the sky mix with the gray in the clouds and the sun and AHHHH, best picture I've every taken. :) Love it! (Canon ELPH 110 HS)

This one was taken while I was on a walk. I just stopped and snapped a photo. I love the simplicity of this one, with just the grass, a fence post, trees, and the open sky. (Canon ELPH 110 HS)

This one I took in a lake town, right on a picnic table by the beach. I was just obsessed with the reflection and the color of the towel matching the water and sky. (Canon ELPH 110 HS)

Thanks for looking at these photos! I hope you guys enjoyed this, I know I really enjoyed taking them and picking them for y'all! Come back next week for another one; I promise. :)

Living the YouTube Life

Being on YouTube has been a great experience for me, and I really love it! It's great to make videos and post them and see what people have to say. I have yet to get a hate comment so that's good! The only thing about YouTube that is not always the best is when you plan for too many videos at one time and have to pull through and find the energy to film and edit them.

I am leaving to go to my grandpa's next Thursday, so it's very stressful to have all of these "due dates" for these videos and is tough to get all of these done. Yes, I do choose to do these videos, it's my choice, but I like to do them, and it just gets a bit much at times.

A while ago I started a series called "@ The Office", where I go to my mom's work and portray her co-workers, volunteers and other people as well. I play all the characters, and then cut the video so it runs smoothly and cuts back and forth so it looks like they are actually talking to each other, when in reality it's me filming both parts separately. It's been really fun, but views have gone down considerably on both YouTube and Facebook, so I may have to retire that soon, after a short run of 5 episodes, with episode 6 coming out next Friday. Anyways, I need to film and edit that video before next Wednesday.

Another series I just started is called "Thursday Talks". Every Thursday throughout the summer I will be doing a little show with a friend or by myself. The first episode was me with my good friend Anna, and she was teaching me how to play Manarchy/Menarki. Link to that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZtQxWeEk44 The second episode is coming up tomorrow so check that out on my channel, which you can find on the Manarchy/Menarki video. I need to film another "Thursday Talks" before next Wednesday so it can be filmed and edited and ready to go!

I am also going to be vlogging the entire time I am with my grandpa. It will be my mom, my grandpa, my uncle, my aunt, my two younger cousins, and me all hanging out for four days. The problem is I don't have a laptop, so I will film all four days separately, and then come back on Sunday night, and post day one on Monday, day two on Tuesday, and so on till Thursday, which I will then also be posting another "Thursday Talks" video. The vlogs will all be four days late, but they will go up in order and together for four straight days. I'm excited to be vlogging the weekend, but I really hope I can edit and upload a new one each day in time!

I plan on uploading the "Thursday Talks" and "@ The Office" videos both on Wednesday of next week, but put them on private, and when the day that they need to go up comes, I will just put them on public. I hope that works out good enough.

So here's the official schedule if you really care to go to my channel and watch these videos as they are uploaded. :)

Thursday, July 3rd - ________ Challenge | Thursday Talks (I can't reveal the name of the challenge yet.)

Drinkin' the Trend

Everyone has been obsessed lately with putting fruit in their water, and I really didn't see why. I tried it today, and found it very good and refreshing!

I overloaded it with raspberries, mango, pinneapple and strawberries. It was quite tart because of the raspberries but overall I really loved it. I am very interested to try different flavors and combonations now.

Here is a picture of me enjoying this thing that is fruit water. Yaaaas!

Tell me in the comments your favorite combinations so I can try them! Thanks for reading, and have a good night/day, depending on when you read this. ✌

Sister Leaving for the Summer!

At the time I am writing this particular paragraph, it's 4:08 am on Sunday the 8th, and I am getting up to bring my sister to the airport so she can go to her lawyer internship where she will spend the entire summer. Here is an early morning selfie to prove it.

4:08 am and don't want to be up.

Now it's later, much later, on Monday the 9th, and my sister is gone and is just about now finishing up her first day of her internship. It was great to have her back for a short time after her college got out, but now she is gone again. I hope she has a great time in Washington, and learns a lot!

Love you Emily, see you soon! <3

Vlogging

This blog post is more on the YouTube end of the spectrum, with the term "vlogging." Now if you're not familiar with the term, it combines videos and blogging, which ends up becoming vlogging. This is where you basically record yourself during your day and put it all together into a nice little video you can post on YouTube. It's really fun to do, and it's a great way to actually show your viewers what you're doing and not just talk about it, like here on a blog post.

I find it awkward as well because basically it looks like you're continuously taking selfies as you walk around town or do what you're vlogging about. (See example picture below.)

So yeah, essentially you point the camera at yourself and start talking! I have vlogged a few times, but I'm not the best, I just started. Like I said, it is fun, but I do get kinda embarrassed in public still, but I will overcome that. One of my friends who lives in the same town as I do is doing daily vlogging until her wedding day which is totally awesome! I'll link her YouTube channel down below. If you want to check out my vlogs you can look at the links down below, and they will bring you to my vlogs on YouTube! I hope you enjoyed my quick little Saturday blog post about vlogging. I am actually vlogging this weekend so that will also be up soon!

Five Favorite Photos Friday

I love photography as you know, and if you haven't realized that yet maybe you should go and read my bio, and last two blog posts. I also love posting my photos to Facebook, and that is becoming an excessive thing for me, which I need to scale down on. :) Basically, I went through my photos I've put on Facebook, and I'm going to show them to you here. Enjoy!

This one was taken also about 2 years ago by a pond in my neighborhood. (Taken with my Canon.)

This one I took on a snow day we had when there was water droplets on our window. (Canon.)

Taken right outside my house...just a blossoming tree. :) (Canon.)

This one I entered in for a calendar and I was one of the 12 winners! (Canon.)

Taken out by the golf course by my house. (Canon.)

I hope you enjoyed these photos! I will be doing this probably every Friday, (Favorite Photos Friday) where I will pick 5 of my favorite photos I have taken since I have gotten into photography and cameras and share them with you! I have tons of pictures so I won't be running out anytime soon! :) Come back next Friday to see the next 5, or sometime between now and next Friday for new blog posts! Thanks for reading!!!

Photo Shoot With My Sister

I recently did a little "photo shoot" with my sister so she could use the pictures as profile pictures for her LinkedIn page, and I was happy to do it. It was my first "official" photography job, even though I wasn't being paid, but I was getting experience with taking pictures of people and editing. A few months prior to this, I was asked by my friend to do his senior pictures late this summer, and I said yes so some experience for me would be greatly helpful.

I told my sister to be ready to do a shoot when I got home from school on Wednesday a few weeks ago, so we could start right away. She had just gotten back from college and she was leaving again in about a month for a lawyer internship. Anyway, I got off the bus that afternoon, and started to set up in the basement.

My plan for the shoot was to have my sister sit in a chair in the middle of our basement with all the lights off, and one of my studio photography lights on her, making a makeshift black background, since I didn't have an actual background. I had tested my idea a few days before, and it worked, but I had to turn the exposure down a bit to make sure you couldn't see anything in the background.

I have two cameras that would do the job; the Samsung Galaxy Camera, and a Canon PowerShot ELPH 110 HS, but unfortunately, my Samsung Galaxy Camera had to be sent in for repairs, so I went back to my trusty dusty Canon PowerShot. I went into the exposure settings on the camera and turned it down to -2, which ended up working perfectly.

Now on to the pictures!!! All of these were editing with GimpShop 2.0, with minor touch ups, a bit of Saturation, and Black & White for...well I'm sure you can tell which ones those are. :)

This one was touched up and saturated a bit.

This one was also touched up and saturated a bit.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures and my first blog post about my photos. If you'd like to see more of my pictures or have me talk about how I go about editing or taking photos, let me know and I'd be glad to! Yes I do have a tag on my photos (Isaac's Photography) because my sister has this problem where she won't "Photo Cred" me in the pictures I do for her so I solved that problem. Haha have a good rest of your day...or night!

Introductions

Hey everybody! My name is Isaac, and I am currently 15 years old. I recently started a YouTube channel, (Isaac's Page https://www.youtube.com/user/IsaacsPage) and have been loving it! I talk about random stuff, make videos where I just talk to my viewers, and have this series called "@ The Office." It's such a fun hobby, and you can be so creative with YouTube videos.

I am also a huge fan of photography, and constantly take pictures, so much so that's it's probably a problem. :) I have a Facebook page where I share some of my work, (Isaac's Photography https://www.facebook.com/pages/Isaacs-Photography/1398589453700742). You can feel free to check that out as well. I don't post frequency on there, but since the summer is coming up, I should be more active on this blog, YouTube, Facebook, and other social media sites.

I have always wanted a website or blog to myself, and I really got the urge to do it after my former elementary music teacher made one about her family and new baby, (Our Little Kirby World http://ourlittlekirbyworld.blogspot.com). She just recently started one, and it's really great!

I'm not totally sure what all will be on my blog, but I will be posting more soon once I get this blog thing figured out, don't worry. Thanks for reading this if you see it, and make sure to come back in a couple days for more posts!
